Regent University hosted a fifth annual futures workshop for Christian leaders that featured Graham Molitor and Jay Gary on Sept 20th in Virginia Beach, VA. Molitor shared his full spectum model on forecasting patterns of change. Up to thirty-nine leaders asked, 'How can our advocacy groups, corporations, ministries, or universities understand the sea change around them, and steer their ship away from icebergs, to find islands of opportunity?'  Visit Link ]

Changes in Mission, Dec 8th

As we consider the future of world missions over the next 30 years, what should change in world missions, and what should not? On December 8th, Christian Futures hosted a Forum on global leadership in mission, with 30 participants gathered in three locations: Boulder, Denver, and Colorado Springs. Dr. David Hesselgrave, author of Paradigms in Conflict (2005), brought the keynote.
 

Can Faith Lead the Genetics Age?

geneticsRegent University hosted the fourth annual futures conference for Christian leaders featuring Dr. Ted Peters, Dr. Clem Bezold and Jay Gary from Sept 20-22nd in Virginia Beach, VA. The focus was on the future of aging, bioethics and faith ministry. Sixty participants asked, How do we approach a Genetics Age, and lead from the future? How do governments, organizations, schools and ministries identify emerging issues, preempt the undesirable and advance the desirable? McKaughan Speaks on Vision & Conflict

McKaughan spoke of the value of aspirational visions in missional endeavors today and inevitability of conflict among leaders in engaging today's culture.
