This past January I taught an online course, LMSF 617, on faith and the future of humanity, through Regent University’s Strategic Foresight program. We wrestled with the question, What should be the unique contribution of Christian faith to the quest to be human? I just ran across this great essay, by William Schweiker, addressing this question, from the vantage point of Christian ethics and humanism. Its entitled: ‘Humanity Before God: Theological Humanism from a Christian Perspective.‘ Check out this essay and consider what Christian humanism offers to the good society.
